Located in the historic center of Montpellier, a few steps from the Fabre museum, the NICOLAS-XAVIER GALLERY has naturally found its place "Place des Musées" within the Ecusson. It occupies a former mansion dating from the 17th century, refurbished while retaining the trough, symbol of the strong character of the place.

Its director Nicolas-Xavier Callu participates in the development of a major culture which today illustrates the identity of the City. True passionate about urban artistic disciplines, he met Montana Colors in 1994 and opened the first Graffiti shop & gallery in Montpellier in 2005 - the “Montana Shop”. For more than fifteen years, his outlook and his various partnerships have helped to build the foundations for the recognition of Contemporary Urban Art, infusing artistic influence from regional to international scale.

Among the artists of the gallery, great masters of the History of Graffiti such as Bando, Bom.K, Delta, Mad.C, Mode2, Pro176, Zest, as well as actors of abstraction: Sébastien Preschoux, Arnaud Liard. Innovative and pioneering, the Gallery illustrates itself as a "laboratory", exploring different angles of contemporary creation among young artists: Difuz, Hien, Nubian. So many names that bring letters of nobility to Urban Art.
